Colorful fixtures in this bathroom, although clashing with the peach, save it from monotony.

Ancient Italy Design

I really like the light marble design in this one. Reminiscent of ancient Greek or Roman architecture. The marble bust is a nice touch. The only that detracts form the whole style is the screen in the top left.
How Many Mirrors?

There’s too many reflective surfaces. I think I would probably get lost or run into one. At least there’s the one cabinet with color to give some perspective.
A Not-So-Medicinal Cabinet

Notice that the oval mirror is actually attached to a medicine cabinet. With wall-mounted cabinets typically being rectangular and “institutional” looking, it’s nice to see one that is round and mildly ornate. The brushed metal of the mirror’s frame matches the towel ring, soap dispenser, and faucet.

When design options (and space) are at a minimum, accents like a decorative bath mat, a small piece of art, or a fun toilet seat cover can be cheap, quick ways to personalize a bathroom.

When you don’t have a medicine cabinet over the sink, small shelves can be used. Make sure not to put a lot of junk on the shelves! Here small blue canisters are used to hold small items.

It is a good thing when the faucet handles are marked. When they are unannounced it’s easy to think you’ve picked the cold water handle and start washing your hands and you end up scalding yourself when the hot water kicks in.

I know it’s the end of April so Christmas-themed towels are probably far from your mind but I saw this and had to post it. The photographer used her old wine rack as a hand towel rack. It’s a clever idea and I’m sure there are creative wine racks out there that could be reused this way.
Anatomy of a Bathroom

Most photos of bathrooms are taken from the doorway so it’s refreshing to see a photo like this. For such a cramped space, the bathroom’s owner has done a lot – 2 racks for towels, the shelving above the toilet, the bookcase with the baskets for storage (and some counter space), the framed art & cabinet on the wall. Nice.

When space is at a premium you’re going to have to get creative. Here a curved towel rack encircles a sink which puts hand towels within reach. I also like the angles on the pedestal sink.
